Looks more symmetrical so it’s an improvement for sure.

What are you implying? I don’t think it’s for the presenters to run secret eBay accounts during the show, nor to DM Piers Morgan on Twitter – they’re tools for doing their jobs, with running orders, news wires and various other things.

The BBC have announced that Emma Barnett is to be one of the new presenters of "Woman's Hour" on Radio 4. From what I've seen of her anchoring Newsnight I think they've made a good choice:

That's a good choice but a bit of a shame that she won't be doing so much of the political and news based stuff now. As the article says, she's very good at it

Absolutely and it wouldn't surprised me if she slipped a bit of politics and news in from time to time.

Have they binned off the regional bulletin before 8am at the same time? There wasn’t one this morning but the regional bulletin just before 7:30 actually started *at* 7:30 due to an overrunning interview so in the following half hour they did seem to be running behind.

The opt-out at 09:00 was always very short, probably less than a minute, so it's doubtful that the example you provided from 7 years ago actually started before 09:00. I apologise in advance for my pedantry. Shocked

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought AlexS was inferring that there's never been a regional opt out around 9am at all, not just before 9am.

Did the News Channel stay with Breakfast right through until 09:05 this morning or did the News at 9 crash in at 09:00?
