Has anyone noticed I think since the Coronavirus outbreak the world news countdown is out of sync it cuts off badly towards the end.

I crashed into David Eades a few times yesterday, but I’m not sure that it’s linked to COVID19!

I do apologize if this has been discussed previously.

Does anyone know why the words ‘chief’ ‘lead’ or ‘senior’ titles have now vanished from Babita Sharma’s social bios when referring to her role at BBC World News.

Was it ever official?

I don’t think Babita Sharma ever used those words on her socials. Another BBC News presenter did, and has removed them. I think you’re maybe thinking of the other one rather than Babita?

If not, I apologize profusely for my presumptive angle.

She’s not even on that much recently.

Yes, it'll probably also be a major contributory factor to the BBC Wales delay. A lot of the kit is from North America, and vendors won't be coming over here for the systems debug etc.

Most of the major broadcast kit vendors have UK-based support teams, in my experience. That's not to say it won't be a contributing factor to delays - I know some places have implemented a change freeze in case of sudden non-availability of staff.

Who almost certainly used such phrasing to indicate she was no longer a business presenter. Might have been slightly sloppy but really don't think she had any intention to mislead.
Meanwhile another long term BBC World (and formally BBC News) presenter continues to include the phrase chief presenter in their twitter bio and a NC presenter claims to be a BBC one presenter which while technically true is simply due to her regular time slot.
