I don't often laugh out loud at News 24 but one of the people who wanted to be on Hear'say was on this morning. If you thought Darius was unique then wait til you hear Daniel.
My mates at 60seconds have bunged him up on the web ... if you get impatient it's 1min 28sec in .... it's worth it honest ..
Hear'say hopeful Daniel
Yes I saw this at about 0910 this morning! It truely was great - I've never laughed at News 24 so much! Peter Coe's face after the report just said it all really!

All i can say is OH ... MY ... GOD!
I haven't heard anything so awful since my dad singing in the shower this morning! Was he for real or was he a joke!? He made me want to rip my fingernails out!!
Verdict: perfect for Hear'Say!!
Very funny - and clever of David Siletto to pick him out in advance and give such a clever lead in - assuming that's what he did.
Re: Pop Idol generally, I actually think ITV have done very well here - they seem to have got very little praise since all the fuss over the Premiership - and they now must surely be winning the Saturday night slot with this.
Pop Idol is one of only TWO programmes I regularly watch on ITV, the other being the news. I am somewhat lazy in that I only started watching it when ITV went onto DSAT - though the analogue indoor aerial reception here is lousy.
I also think Pop Idol extra has been an example of ITV2 at its best - maybe Kate Thornton isn't the best presenter for it - but she's grown on me in the way she interacts with the contestants, and the show links in seamlessly with the ITV1 broadcasts, and you do generally get something out of it.
I'm enjoying Pop Idol a lot more than I have Big Brother (except the Celebrity Big Brother) as at least you've got some people with talent/ambition - rather than a load of mad idiots randomly stuck in a house together.

And what do you mean, 'it's taking over TV' - Is it heck! It's on for 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday. Quite easy to avoid you know....
Does this mean as well the unending and tedious column inches that are devoted to this silly popularity contest as well? You switch off the TV, you can't avoid it. It's there splashed across all the bloody tabloids!
I can't wait until this is over and the winner finds himself relegated to opening supermarkets in John O'Groats....
Kat, for somebody who doesn't watch it, you've certainly got a lot to say about this show, you've posted in every single thread about it.
Anyway why should most of you bother about it anyway, I thought that most of you didn't watch ITV1 and were all BBC snobs. Are you finding yourselves having to retune on Saturday nights because the BBC opposition is so poor ?
I post because I'm sick of the hype about it - and I only know so much because I can't get away from it. Ceefax, Teletext, newspapers, the fact Gareth's I think a Bradfordian will mean that he'll soon be splashed across Look North when the inevitable happens and he wins...
Sad really, he's not got much of a shelf life because as soon as the next hot thing to come out of the Teeny Bop factory drops off the production line, he'll be dumped in the next bin-full of household scrap!

He's already been splashed across Calendar. He was mentioned at least twice last week on Calendar and yesterday on Calendar News and Sport!
