I watched BBC News 24 this morning from 9am and saw that the presentation has changed. NickyS told us about changes in where things go but he didn't say that they are scrapping the *30 ident and a new style in presenting - namely the 'coming up in the next hour' bit at *57 mins past and at *30 past telling us what they are doing in the next half hour!

I have to say I like what they are doing now. It stops News 24 being made up of half hour segments and makes it one hour long programme (if you know what I mean!). It adds continuity to it and is much better this way!

The only thing I don't like about the changes is the way they are using the sting as the half hour ident - they now no longer do a studio shot, as the bed after the sting is only 5secs long, compared to the old one of about 30secs. Apart from that, yes I like the way they are reminding us of whats coming up!

Oh I like how they use the sting instead of the ident.

Still prefer them to adopt the BBC News (World Style) though for their titles/stings etc as the News 24 one is a little hard on the ears as it goes too fast!
