I don't like to remember these things but here goes...
When Ben Rigden took over from Richard Hopkin at the BB he started to bring back some of the classic features like 'Snap Cackle Pop' 'Wonga' and 'Court With Your Pants Down' although the third did not work without the smuttiness of Johnny's 'Darcy Farquoir' character from last year;)
On the 25th of June 2001 the title sequence from the relaunch was dropped in favour of this tacky looking sequence involving people dressed up as prunes, oranges etc rushing to get to the BB house (which is still used today) and it was around this time that the show was in danger of being axed so Rigden seemed to dumb the show down by doing things such as for example, the competitions being reduced to 'Call And Collect' features.
In September Mark Frith from Heat Magazine joined the show to provide showbiz gossip and Gary Bushell became the shows TV critic (possibly because he would not be able to slag of the show itself). In addition to that Roland Rat was hired to save the Big Breakfast like he did for TV AM but he just did not seem to have the enthusiasm he used to have probably because his part of the show was pre recorded.
These are just a few of the desperate acts used in hope of saving the show...

How many months after the new look was launched, did it get dropped? In terms of the look of the house and the titles?
