Uh, why do you ask?
Just a quick question, I’ve always wondered... are any of you here the target audience for CBBC?

Given the target audience is between 6-13, I'm going to guess no.

That does sound a bit dodgy.

What I meant was, some of the posters have a keen interest in CBBC, and I would find it weird if there were people 20+ watching CBBC.

I think Saturday Mash-Up would be the perfect place for that, the audience for SMU wouldn’t remember the shows and it would allow the shows to do decent repeat numbers.
Ooh, maybe they could do classic CBBC shows on weekends?

It's coming up to the 9th September, which will mean 35 years since the CBBC brand launched.
You do have to wonder if CBBC looked at the numbers CITV got from their Old School Weekend and will try something similar. (Or at least puts stuff on iPlayer - like they did with Barry Chuckle's death and the Blue Peter anniversary)

I think they’re more likely to do that for the channel’s 20 year anniversary in 2022.

Even for that they just did that special where they revealed Lauren Layfield as a presenter and interviewed old ones.
Also for the 10th anniversary, CBBC did a broadcast from a live location. I can’t remember whether they showed classic programmes but CBeebies showed a few.
I mean in fairness, they didn't do much for the channel's 10th birthday in 2012 but did more for the brand's 30th in 2015.

They also marked Children's BBC 25th birthday in 2010 as well. Not quite the 30th birthday celebration but still!
