Well I don't know why she's talking to a postbox

Why's Rita having a go at that postbox?

Reminds me of Ben Mitchell...

Perhaps she's talking to Len's ghost?

Audrey back tonight, Rita and Ken in the trailer for next week. That's basically everyone back apart from Max and Lily and the quads now.

Geoff basically channelling my dad again tonight in the language and tone he was using, really is very close to home. The writers and Ian Bartholomew himself really have got that sort of person and their traits spot on, it's scary.

Back to Classic Coronation Street, when did they flip the set over from Don Brennan's place? Is he still staying at the same place? You never used to see the staircase. Forgive me, i've missed a good few years since 92/93.

It's only just happened. You don't see the fireplace again until the move to MediaCity when they started putting fourth walls onto sets occasionally (though I think we've only seen it a handful of times).

I was nice to see Audrey and I notice in her one scene they featured all her best lines - oh David, honestleh, mmm.
Spencer, DavidWhitfield and Soupnzi gave kudos

December 1996/January 1997. Around the point Ashley moved in.

I guess this was in anticipation of Don leaving and the bosses moving in a new family. A shame we don't see much of the iconic fireplace, and it looks like a hovel now with Chesney, Gemma, her mum and the kiddies all crammed in.

The strangest scene - appearing at the back door, and in the process of walking to the front door said all her catchphrases, told David and co to get stuffed, and disappeared.

Havent watched last nights episodes yet but good to hear that Audrey has returned. Ken and Rita should be back next week in time for the 60th. I think Corrie has definitely suffered without the older cast. It improved when Roy, Evelyn and Gail all returned.

In Classic Corrie, yesterdays one hour episode reminded me of modern Corrie more than Classic Corrie. its obvious Brian Park is now in charge. I think this was the turning point for me between more Classic and modern Corrie. Not to say it was a bad thing as some of the changes Brian made were needed and there were some excellent episodes and story lines during the late 1990s.

I’ve liked how over Wednesday’s and the first of Thursday’s ITV3 episodes are set throughout the same evening. It really gave time for the main story of Alma’s kidnap to pad out and to be told without dragging itself out to be boring.
