I notice a fair amount of Disney TV content which wasn't on Disney+ has been added today.
Still waiting for some older content like TaleSpin and Bonkers which are on the US version though...

I believe for the most part the UK team (and the Italian team too), didn't see it much as a goodbye, more like a move to Disney+
.
A lot of the UK team have definitely seen it as a goodbye.

I wonder if any of the former Studio Disney/Playhouse Disney presenters have heard of the news that DC UK is gone?
I know that Alex is now doing the local news for BBC Points West, but it would be nice if she paid tribute to where it all began for her.

Still always found it a shame that the kids channels got rid of said live studio continuity, as a kid I always preferred it to out of vision continuity, especially as the stuff on the kids channels wasn't even live (though I think Disney did have some live out of vision continuity at one point). Always felt more friendly and personal.

Well, let's be thankful CBBC and CBeebies are still going strong with theirs.
But yeah, live continuity back then was the best. Felt like you were part of the experience.

All the kids channels apart from Cartoon Network did done it at some time in the 90s and early-mid 00s... though even CN had some periods of live continuity with real time animation.

Yeah I remember on certain cable providers that if you subscribed to Sky Movies as it was known then you got Disney Channel included. We didn’t so when I knew it was a free weekend on Ch.26 went and I was good until it ended
I remember when the Disney Channel in the late 90's would occasionally do free unencrypted weekends as a taster, that was the only time i only got to see the Disney Channel as a kid.

There appears to be a blank "entry" for Talespin on the DIsney+ UK (en-gb) site, so whether its "reserved" for the service and just needs the video files dropping in I'm not sure.
Talespin was pushed out on DVD in the UK, many years after it appeared in the US, so by the same logic it'll probably turn up on Disney+ by the middle of the decade, and it'll probably be the edited versions (first four episodes were originally feature length, later chopped up and later butchered again, though most of those edits were undone for the DVD), but this web page suggests the edited episodes are on Disney+ in the US. So if it comes here, it'll almost certainly be the same files.
