The weather screen seems to have broken - Alex did the 7:59 one from the weather desk.
EDIT: It's been fixed for the 8:29 forecast.

Erron Gordon has just retweeted an article about GMA with the comment “We love a tweaked GMB opening too 😉”.

Well, let's see whether this leads to anything. I'd hazard a guess that if the intro will be tweaked, it will be done when Piers and Susanna return.

EDIT: Here are the two intros from GMA from the last two days. I could see the first one working for GMB.

Hardly a shock given the hint earlier this month.

Hopefully this means that the 2018 re-mixed theme will go and we'll be back to 2017 or even 2014, or something new, just anything other than what we have now.

Fingers crossed for the 2014 theme! Thumbs up

Fantastic promo.

Great promo, shame about the content of the show. Nice dig at BBC Breakfast about not being boring, however BBC Breakfast maybe dull at times, very news driven, but somehow they still beat ITV in the ratings at breakfast. Why?

Same reasons as ever. Breakfast fits the morning brief better than GMB. BBC One gives you what you need (National and local news, travel and weather), when you need it, without GMB's insulting competitions, frequent ad breaks and having to listen to Piers bore-off about stuff, and watch Susanna eye-roll.

Because history tells us (with one notable exception) that people prefer bland cornflakes in the morning rather than anything spiky.

However, ITV realises that with GMB it's not necessarily a race to No1. It's about making your brand as valuable as possible. It's about getting as many people talking as possible, as many social media links shared as you can, and having a package you can confidently sell to advertisers.

That's what Piers & Susanna's GMB has accomplished, and this awesome promo reflects this.

No doubt geared to send this thread into a frenzy, but the report that This Morning will feature new titles set around Television Centre makes me wonder if this means a shift by ITV Daytime to formally acknowledging their location on screen.
