ITV1: New Season 2005

Does anyone know what ITV have planned for the new season? Is Pop Idol or Popstars coming back? What about Ant and Dec's takeaway?

Footballers Wives is coming back but not until April apparently, we already know Des and Mel are moving to 5pm. Anyone have other info of what ITV have lined up?

ITV is also considering a chat show with Philip Schofield for the 5pm slot.

Well if they are that won't be on our screens until at least June as Paul O' Grady is comming back in March/ April when Des and Mel has finished.

I doubt he will do a programme then because it should be approaching his Summer Holiday then, after doing This Morning from September to July. And surely he would not have time to do two shows in a day, five times a week, plus his commitments to the National Lottery.

So if ITV are planning all these other shows for the 5pm-6pm slot then I guess they wont be showing any new soaps then?

Does anyone know if Davina's dating show is back on a Saturday?

Who knows, maybe ITV is coming to its senses and realising that Paul O'Grady is a horrible jerk who doesn't deserve to be on TV?

Of course! The 2.7 million viewers he brought to their traditional graveyard slot mean nothing!

Fat Friends is back.

no doubt it will be on in Jan/feb like last time, with Footie Wives starting the week after Fat Friends ends.

Also - on X factor - it looks like the 2nd series will be next year? But I thought ITV were bringing back popstars for a 3rd run. I would have thought popstars 3 would have been on next year with x factor 2 the year after?

Popstars and Pop idol have never had 2 series 1 year after the other? Is x factor really that good for ITV to let this happen?

BTW - I hope there is NO I'm a celeb next year, I am sick to death of it now!

What happened to Press Ganged ? That was supposed to be ITV's next attempt at reality TV, expect that'll be rolled over to next year.

Completly agree I'm a Celeb needs a break, but reports in newspapers suggest it will be back next year from a new location. Hopefully it's no earlier than September though.

Re: Davina's Love on a Saturday Night - axed! I guess Stars in their Eyes will return for a Winter run though, while Saturday Night Takeaway also returns.

I've always thought a run-down council estate would be good as an alternative dangerous location. Contestants could take the Chav Challenge: collect the Elizabeth Duke gold hoop-earrings from a burnt out car avoiding the broken glass and hypodermic syringes. In return they get given Netto food vouchers for the team.
