Okay a new Crossroads trailer appears to be suggesting rather than cropping the hell out of it, it's going to be pillerboxed with a vertical yellow Crossroads logo either side.
Actually I notice there's no ambient or background music to make this more interesting. I get the impression of watching a YouTube video. And now the vicar or reverend has decided to seemingly bless this station for some reason...
I'm glad I didn't rush home to see it now. I did catch the end though, that prayer scene looked like it was shot by my father: pan from left to right.. pause and then pan back again. Absolutely awful.
Makes That's Solent look like a decent channel. Honestly would say nicer things but the launch programme was all about Mike Prince and Chris Perry, their respective careers and business plans. Not about the programmes or viewers, which it should have been. If you're gonna talk about retiring in 20 years then I think you are setting up for a spectacular fail.
That said though they have a good mix of programmes in the schedule but I'm not convinced they'll find the audience they'll need in the long run. The news doesn't really feel right, fine it is a saturday and they are using stockpiled reports but it feels slow and irrelavent (he says from outside the area).
As I suspected, that desk just doesn't work with Bob's hands behind it rather than on top of it. Was a cheap table and a green tablecloth too much to ask for?
His hands look huge and he's constantly fiddling with them! Wide angle lens or something?
Damn, I thought we were going to have in-vision continuity for a minute there when that lady in blue sat against a blue background and started talking. Turned out to be a trailer.
