Well, Sheffield Live TV's launch date is tomorrow, and still no coverage details to be found.

Looks promising...

I'll break silence. General loop stuff tomorrow until about 6pm live programmes.

Nope, no suitable hardware these days.

(I'll probably be keeping my comments to the factual also...)

Sheffield Live is on. Rebroadcasting the radio station with an info screen. Events, weather, photos, news.

Edit: They also run the info feed at http://www.sheffieldlive.org/now

Seems to be just a graphic loop playing on that link. Is that what is being actually broadcast?

It's going through various things - the first 'slide' is a logo, look at the 'timer' at the bottom until the next slide comes in. That with the radio station is what's on when there isn't programming.

Here's a report from another forum, regarding Sheffield's first day

Sounds even less compelling than London Live

Posted here for convenience:

So far it's been pretty poor. It opened by simply switching from the
caption card to a slide sequence (in the middle of a record). The
transitions from one slide to the next are random and varied, which
makes the whole thing reminiscent of one of my 11 year-old grand
daughter's effects-heavy productions.The music they're playing is
absolutely appalling; either that stuff that sounds like a monkey
frantically masturbating in a dustbin
, or foreign stuff, the latter
including a lot of dreadful jungle music. Why on earth don't they play
some proper music?

There have been a few adverts, in sound only, with unrelated visuals.

I await the actual television programmes with interest. However, I'm
beginning to wonder if the greatest benefit of the new mux will be QVC+.

I imagine they meant 6:30 BST, since that's what everyone else is reporting.

Anyway, just when you think the website can't get any worse...
