Does anybody know what has happened to Paul Greene and Anna Maria Ashe after leaving London Tonight ?
Yes, Paul is concentrating on his own business developments and Anna Maria is taking the corporate world by storm. If ITV London news had any sense whatsoever, they would have kept these two first class presenters on board. Instead, what do they do, they save more money by pooling resources with the ITV News channel and have no end of monkey's presenting. Owen Thomas comes into the catagory of 'Monkey' - just look at those ears!! The whole service has gone rapidly down hill. Its not NEWS it's SNOOZE
I totally agree. When produced by LNN, London Tonight and (the now defunct) London Today were excellent. The editorial agenda and style of journalism were especially superb, with a good amount of lighter stories which importantly weren't tabloid trash, and lead stories which weren't sensationalist. After the ITN move, the programme seems to have become a cheap american news station, with very little integrity, and an increasingly downmarket style.
