Did anyone else see the Look East(East) late bulletin with Alex Dunlop last night. I noticed that the backdrop wasn't the usual Forum and was the old backdrop of Norwich Market Area. However this morning it was back to the Forum backdrop.

Does anyone have any idea why it changed?? Also I much prefer the Outside Backdrop. I hope it makes a return in the near future! Very Happy

Is The Forum backdrop actually live? If so, it could just be a case of the camera having a problem, and them having to rely on the other one.

If/when the new Market is built, complete with those snazzy colour-changing 'pods', you would think they might want to switch back to that. The Forum one has always looked a little dull and very awkward on the eye. I don't think the lighting of the building really suits a projection screen.

Plus the fact that there are so many other - better - shots from within the Forum that could be used. The view of the market from the forum building (i.e. standing on the stairs and turning around) would be a happy-medium.

Hmm, I *think* the library background (that's the inside of the Forum one) is live. The market one certainly is. Maybe someone should try going to get a book out at 6:30 and wave.

Been done, snigger, I done it and I was just to the left of Stuart White at about 18:46. Hehehehe, you could see me in a bright orange top.

BTW, The forum backdrop is live and last night I believe Look East were coming from Cambridge as they used the look east west weather map.

I think the backdrop of The Forum library was changed on the late Look East bulletin last night, because there was a live performance by some comic performers from The Comedy Store in front of the ground floor entrance to the Library.

For those of you who don't live in Norwich, every so often (once a month, I think) the area of The Forum I have mentioned is set up for that purpose.

If you saw the main Look East programme at 6.30pm last night, you will have noticed that the area where the stage for the perfomers was set up, was blacked out on the 'window' image.

Although they have now reverted back to the normal camera shot of The Forum on the Breakfast and Lunchtime bulletins today.

If you watch The Politics Show on Sunday lunchtimes, you will notice that they use the outside camera shots on the 'window' and on the projection screen, which is used for the weather and the sport segments on Look East, and I think you will also find that the Politics Show uses the same studio.

I noticed before the 10 o'clock news last night, that the Capoeria ident was played out a few seconds early, just as the London announcer started to mention some programmes coming up in the 'Taking Care' week. After the trail for Hustle was shown, there was just a static Capoeria ident with David Whiteley's pre-recorded voice-over into the news.

Also, no-one has mentioned it here, but their fire alarm happened to go off on Tuesday morning towards the end of the regional Breakfast bulletin just before 9.00am. I think that Jo Kent did a very good job in making herself heard above all the noise!

Thats correct the same studio is used. And it was been confirmed by Look East that the old backdrop was used because of the Comedy Store was in the Forum and they couldn't find the recorded backdrop what they would usually use in these circumstances so used the market area backdrop.

Has anyone got any images of the east's Politics Show set, because it says on the Look East website that they strike the main set each Sunday, and I was just wondering what it looked like.

Also, is anyone able to see the 360 degree images here, or is it just my computer?

I think it's just your computer because I can see it. I used to have that problem until I downloaded Java. What trying that Philip??

I can see it all

By the way the autocue says "BBC Local Radio Presenter ... got an MCE" well that's what I can read.

It works fine with both MS and Sun's Java plugins for me. It also shows you how utterly tiny the set really is. There are huge empty spaces behind each screen, so it feels rather claustrophobic!

I think you'll find it's "MBE", and about good-old cardboard shoes Keith Skues, who got it in the New Year's Honours List.

Have you got a link to Java. I've been to http://java.sun.com/, but I can't see a suitable link.
