I love UK Gold,, but do find it repeats the same programmes, for example EastEnders, thirty times in one day. This is too much, and it would be more appropriate to put on some other programmes instead! i.e. Doctor Who. This is one of my old favourites, and is only shown at 6.00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Excuse me UK Gold, but I aint up at that time in the day!!! So I wish they would stop repeating the same programme so many times in one day, and also show a different variety of programmes.

So to conclude, I basically agree with what you've stated! Now time for some action, I think!

UK Gold shows too many new shows, it shows recent BBC drama like Linda Green, this should be on UK Drama. We need more 70s & 80s shows, Eastenders & Neighbours are fine but perhaps it's time to see the first episodes again instead of late nineties! The recent UK Gold reshuffle had been a pain in the ass as I liked to watch Eastenders at 4 just after I got home from skool, instead they moved it to 6:25 and when I go out on a Friday nite or whatever I miss it cos I would've gone out by 6:30 and at 4 I could see it straight away! UK Gold was at it's best when more THAMES programming was showed and the 1992-1994 idents were great with the golden dog!

Well I think the channel name 'UK Gold' rather sums up its schedule. If you don't like watching the programmes they show, watch something else for goodness sake.

The programmes are clearly popular with the channel's audience, otherwise UK Gold wouldn't be as successful as it is. There are only so many programmes which constitute being 'Gold' without being slagged off for showing new programmes.

So would anyone who disagrees with me care to post a proposed new schedule for the folks at UK Gold?

Well, if you wrestle it away from the BBC, you're gonna be even more hard pushed to find any decent programming that isn't already being shown.

I like UK Gold. I like EastEnders (though I have to tape it cos the annoying reshuffle means it's on the same time as Classic Coronation Street) and I like the comedy. I know some people thinkt hat 1995 for neighbours and 1997 for E is quite recent, but when you think about it, neighbours is nearly 7 years old and EE is nearly 5 years old.

Strictly speaking, UKtv is a joint venture between the BBC and Flextech, although the BBC does have a rather firm grip. It would be rather difficult 'wrestling away' UK Gold from the BBC though

I thought it was a joint venture between the BBC and Telewest Broadband. DId I pick it up wrong?

Flextech is a division of Telewest
