Didn't know that bit! There were rumors at the time that it was Auction World under a different name.

I might be wrong, but I think it was run by the HSN network - who are pretty much QVC's biggest rival in the States.

Adam Freeman (one of the presenters on iBuy) still presents on HSN.

Has anyone heard anything else about Shop at Bid and Price-drop?

So Bid and Price Drop, the channels I've spent so much time on over the last eleven years are no more. Life is full of "if only" but I guess we have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and start all over again.
To my Bid Shopping colleagues, and family, I'll miss you... and I hope we'll be working together again soon. After all, I'm pretty available now.

I'm thinking of shutting down this presenter facebook page I'm afraid. I hope to be back on screen again soon with another project. I hope you'll be as loyal to me then as you have been over the last eleven years. Thank you so much for that.

I can't begin to tell you how upset I am. I'm also owed a great deal of money which I probably will never see, as many of us are. So before you berate us for going along with the company line over the last few months, think of the personal side of it would you?

Bit arsey. We all have choices in life; if one of my clients stopped paying me I wouldn't continue working for them. He will have known more than I did in terms of the volume of stuff being sold, and I could see pretty clearly (on Price Drop at least) the numbers didn't stack up.

For some things you have only yourself to blame.

There is no slide showing and no music playing on Shop at Bid right now, which is probably because Bid usually closes at midnight.

Bid and Price-Drop usually run until 1:30am, though Freeview I believe finishes at midnight.

As of 13 minutes past midnight, same situation that's been running all evening is still ongoing on Price and Bid: "technical problems, go to the website instead" and looping music.

Might be interesting to see what happens at 1:30am though, how did the Accurate Teleshopping thing work? Previously TV Shop (as it used to be) was simply played out with a Bid TV logo stuck on top of the visuals.

Bid and Price-Drop recently swapped freeview streams. PD used to go off air at midnight and re-start at 08.00 on freeview. They recently swapped streams so that Price-Drop gets the 24 hour one and Bid got Price-Drop's old stream.

not a swap - price drop was bumped off to a slot on limited coverage multiplex COM7. Bid's old 24 hr bandwidth slot on SDN is now used by CBS Reality.

I know what will happen.

Nothing. Not a thing. The commercial agreement they had with Accurate Teleshopping would have become null and void this afternoon as the channels broadcasting their promos no longer exists.

Besides, there are no staff left to operate anything.

What about the sets in the studios? Will they be left standing until a new company moves in to the unit they're in?
