I was just wondering what people thought of John Suchet as one of the guest presenters on This Morning.

I'm so used to seeing him reading the news it's hard for me to say. I think he's a little bit stiff still but he should be OK in time.

It would be nice if he became a regular guest presenter.

Well he was chosen to fill in yesturday for Phillip as Phillip went to the funeral of Caron Keating.
And there seems to be something about John and phone lines/ob's. Last week they had a few problems with phone lines for competitions and yesturday the live OB to Eric Knowles seem to fail for John, Eric could hear Lorraine, but not John.

John Suchet has been a great stand-in guest presenter on This Morning!

He has really excelled at talking about things that he has no interest in at all - like soap operas and celeb talk etc.

HE brought a great calm to the programme and it was a refreshing change to have someone with their head screwed on presenting such a show.

It only goes to show how bored I am of Philip and Fern continually laughing like little kids over the smallest things. <insert tears of laughter here>

I didnt mind Philip and Fern when they began but the constant childish actions and laughing have made the whole programme a laughing stock and has spoilt what once was an essential daytime tv show.

John Suchet has reminded me of how good This Morning used to be with say Richard and Judy and other presenters that filled in.

How about this for a new tea-time show for ITV1, maybe to take on Richard and Judy and Channel 4 - John Suchet and Harry Hill presenting a similar This Morning/Richard and Judy type show?

John could deal with the more serious stories where Harry Hill could do paper reviews and look at the previous nights/weeks television programmes?

I think they would make a really good team?
