That website hasn't been updated. They all went back in January. Looks like they just abandoned the website rather than changed it.

You'll notice even the tweets going across the bottom of the site are all 2 months old. They haven't tweeted since December or posted to Facebook since November.

Up to 1991 on the DVDs, and just watched one episode which includes part of the storyline where Steve, Andy and Vicky ran a pirate radio station, and there's some very dodgy editing around those scenes (for example an abrupt cut to the End Of Part One caption just as she presses play on the tape player), and the episode runs over a minute shorter than the rest on the disc- so I presume it's the music rights issues that are the bane of so many DVD releases. Some other episodes from other years have run short too, sometimes by 2 or 3 minutes, so I'm presuming that's the same too.

I bet there are few Metropol users just hoping to take a look at the UK’s most exclusive Co-Op.

Was watching ITV 3 yesterday and when Corrie was on it kept having a white bar appear on the end credits and into the brake etc as it was covering something?

Were you watching with subtitles enabled? The white bar (normally just a square dot but a longer bar in recent episodes) appears during the titles, end credits and EOP captions and is part of the subtitles. It used to appear regularly on ITV and Channel 4 - I think it was a way of showing Oracle and/or the playout gallery that the subtitles were playing properly and their timing was correct.

Wonder if they're using the original subtitle files from the 80s?

The subtitles are credited to Deluxe. The formatting of them does appear differently than it used to on ITV.

I’ve noticed the same “white bar” on the new ITV episodes when watching with subtitles on. Quite intrusive!
