Even though Sally is one of my favourite characters im not very enthusiastic about her current storyline. The scenes with Gina, Dev, Sally, Tim about the phone seemed ridiculous to me. Jenny is another character I like lots but I don't care about her plans for the Rovers. Its all very boring. I also don't care about Rana, Kate and Imran and the fact that Rana is lying to her mother about Kate. I hope something interesting happens soon in Corrie!

Upcoming spoilers sound more eventful but also a load of absolute cack especially what's up for Peter and Liz. The plots do read as if TPTB were enjoying the sun a bit too much - it was sensationalist at times under Oates but stories at the moment and upcoming seem either hideously contrived, complete character assasinations or have suspensions of reality which are way too big even by soap standards.
The Liz story looks like it has the potential to be one of Corrie's very worst stories.

I heard about the Liz Storyline. Cant say im impressed by that as it sounds like they are changing history again. Not keen on Peter as a character either. He was probably at his least irritating when he was with Toyah to be fair. Even though they didn't work in the Rovers I didn't mind them as a couple.

I did read that there will be another stunt/car crash in October. Again this is boring and its been done lots before

Looks like drastic changes to the interior of the Rovers are in the works or will it end up reverting to the old look once viewers moan about change?

Doubt it will be viewers but a few weeks of on screen moaning before things go mostly back to what it was - Johnny and Jenny in the Rovers does not feel like it's for the long term so can't imagine many long term big changes to the Pub itself will happen.

I can imagine the Daily Express headlines already, based on few tweets

Doesn't the threat of the Rovers turning into a trendy gastro pub resurface every 5 years or so? I remember it happening in 2000. Back then it was "The Boozy Newt"

I would say that the new look Roverz as a gastro pub is a wind up to get the punters in the pub on opening night.

The Bistro has managed to change its interior (and name) quite a few times during its 10 year existence, I don't believe there was any 'viewer uproar'. Perhaps the reaction to the 'Roverz' won't be as they expect from the viewers.

Pubs are closing all the time, yet this street effectively has two outlets which seem to survive.
