Is that why they use the bumpers

Yep, they're idents, just short ones.

I'm surprised why they aren't closing Turbo, as that only reaches 33,400 viewers, compared with the 234,600 viewers of the main Discovery channel. Science should also be axed in my opinion.

Although Home & Health and Shed are definitely the lowest rated of the lot. I'd imagine Shed content moving to DMAX & Quest, with H&H shows being split between Quest Red, Really & TLC.

Well the other Discovery channels won't be going anywhere for now, they are doing okay and have a clear remit, and are part of the new discovery+ service.

It was inevitable that Home & Health and Shed would go, as they were the only two channels not to be included in discovery+.

Where did you get the reach for Turbo? Turbo actually airs first-run content doesn't it? Does Discovery History actually air any first-run shows at all or is wall to wall of old repeats? Is its reach lower than Turbo. All Shed and H&H show is old repeats so not much of a loss really.

They were on the BARB website. History's ratings aren't much better that those of Turbo, but I guess Discovery thinks 25k and 23k must be acceptable.

History is definitely more highbrow than it's sister networks and therefore should stay.

Turbo is staying , Shed is going Wink

Again, hopefully History is staying, it has a clear remit for more highbrow content, compared to the others.

The Polish counterpart, Discovery Historia (albeit with a different logo) is staying..

That's bog standard, they'll use the ECP even without a voiceover - it's defacto from presentation scheduling.

Meanwhile, Discovery has no plans of shutting down H&H in Latin America, despite the fact it's now a mishmash of TLC, HGTV and Food Network content (all of which are available here).

Ive just noticed that they are keeping them on virgin media, any thoughts why they are keeping it on virgin and not sky.
WH
what
Well Sky have seemingly signed a deal giving Q subscribers a few months free Discovery+. Could that have something to do with it?

Discovery stated they have no plan to shut it down permenantly.
