Just seen the whole shebang mentioned on Gogglebox. Seems as though they were as excited as us to see Piers' reaction on Tuesday morning as they didn't appear to sleep after watching the interview on Monday night as they were all wearing the same clothes and sitting in the same positions.

I think one family did whack some dressing gowns on, because of course the whole family sits on the sofa at 6.30am to watch GMB.

One of them remarked how they weren’t normally up so early. Bit like me on Wednesday (along with thousands of others , going by Ranvir’s remarks suggesting people had only tuned into see ‘one thing’).

I don't know if they still do this for major incidents.

I haven't seen one, or heard about one happening for a long while. I always thought they looked awful - bad choice of colour and font. They don't have the gravitas of the old BSC/BCC ones

She's like a BBC version of Piers and I reckon she would love a role on ITV where she could get away with saying things that she couldn't on the BBC. Not sure what the relationship with Susanna would be like though!

Who else has been suggested?

Victoria is good on the News Channel but you can tell she preferred her own branded show where she could interview less serious guests and move around a larger studio.

I think if it was Susanna leaving Victoria would be a good shout but can't see her working alongside her.

I can't see ITV going for Matthew Wright, I think someone said on here that he was quite difficult to work with behind the scenes on The Wright Stuff.
