I notice generic ITV websites now (just about) exist for the former Carlton regions at

http://www.itvregions.com/index.php?region=Westcountry
http://www.itvregions.com/index.php?region=Central

So much for originality from ITV...

Both those 'sites' have the title 'itv1west.com'!

Shockingly poor, especially considering how good some of the regional sites used to be.

That website is abysmal! I hope that isnt currently 'live' for the general public to view?

The ITV Wales website is looking a bit healthier these days - www.itvwales.com !

I see they have all got the GMG look now then. Well no not really as GMG's first sites had about the News Program Presenters and even a Note Board. If you ask me ITV has made a mess of the region sites.

They're not live yet as if you type itv.com/central you still get the old "let's fix this quick cos we're not Carlton anymore" site.

The walls of the Westcountry News studio in that photo look like CSO
I kow they're not CSO (right? Confused ), but in that photo, they look like it.

Also, ever since adopting the ITV News generic look, the brown/cream colour scheme of the sofa/desk/platform looks very out of place amongst all that blue.

Having that photo of the West sub-region's Central News studio only, rather snubs the other two sub-regions! Either have a photo of all three sets, or none at all, surely? Rolling Eyes

The regional sites look awful now because of the dreadful itv (regional name) logo at the top of the page. Shocked

The YTV News- Calendar website used to be excellent and now it is total rubbish! Does anyone know who maintains these websites - is it done by someone in London or still at each regional centre??

Also with these new(ish) websites why haven't they got the presenters and reporters profiles??

Finally if you email via these websites you get the duty office at Birmingham NOT the regional centre. Can somone please tell me what the point in that is?

I can confirm that the "regional websites" are made and maintained by itv plc via the london television centre ; which cover's : Anglia,Border, LWT, ITV Wales,ITV West,Granada,Yorkshire( but they still have a YTV Studio website) Tyne Tees( which sometimes switches in and out from itv's style and use their style;good for them.) and Meridian.

Websites still to come under itv's style is: Central,Westcountry, ITV London (Carlton).

To be honest , I don't like them, it looks like its been designed by a monkey. Laughing

the central, westcountry and (i think) carlton london duty offices are in birmingham and have been for a while. an office of people are trained to fob off viewers centrally, rather than maintaining an office in each city - makes sense to me. it wouldn't surprise me if they moved in with the granada lot soon tho.

The old ITV.com/central site still works though.

And if you go to www.itvregions.com, Central and Westcountry aren't listed, neither is London Weekday.
