Why do people think the Dan/Toby/Ellie story was dragged out? Are you people from the EastEnders world where characters murder, are arrested, imprisoned and realeased on appeal all within one week.

In reality these things take months - the serial killer storyline had a good build up, and considering the death of Toby only happened in November, eight months later Dans been imprisoned, tried and released, while Ellie faces court next week.

No I'm certainly not from the Eastenders world!! I'm afraid reality has very little to do with it. This isn't, nor is it trying to be, real. It's spun out to retain viewers through to the conclusion I suspect. I hope they stick Ellie away for good, I'm sick to death of her!!

Elize du Toit was on BBC's Points West last week taking part in the Sport Relief run in Bristol... she will be in pantomime somewhere this Christmas I imagine Smile

Speaking of ex-Hollyoaks actresses, Terri Dwyer is now on Loose Women taking the place of Kerry McFadden. A bit of a comedown! Although I had heard that Terri would be returning again soon to Hollyoaks for another brief spell as Ruth.

I assume that most of the characters rumoured to be leaving (Lee & Lisa, Abby, Kristian etc.) will be replaced by the new actors and actresses recruited by OTP?

Has anyone submitted (or planning to submit) their photo to the onthepull website then?

A good episode tonight I felt - the best in a few weeks, with the stuff surrounding Joe and his parents, linked in with Toby and Mandy.

Also, a few new characters this week as a new family move in. They've been introduced to us briefly tonight - the family is made up of two brothers, one sister and their mother (a 40-something blonde I suppose!) - and hold a secret.

He is also seemingly fully fluent in Welsh; I once saw him in an episode of that awful Welsh soap (something Y Cwm?) and he was speaking da lingo.

Yes it was a good episode last night, Hollyoaks has been quite boring recently - I dont think it will ever be as good as it was between 1997-2001.

Nice to see some new faces in the show, I also hear Ruth is coming back too - does anyone know if its permanent? I hope so as she was my fave.

Seemingly being the key word - he just learned the lines - not the language. However, he did appear on a recent S4C reality show in which he and a number of other celebs spent a week learning Welsh.
