Some good news on the schedule front.

For the last month or so, Europe has been getting both hours of CNN Newsroom Hong Kong (00.00-02.00cet). Before, Piers Morgan would be shown in Europe at midnight followed by an hour of Newsroom. Now it seems he's definitely gone from European nightly schedule. Of course he still goes live at 03.00 cet and a replay at 13.00 cet. (just like Larry did, only his replay was at 11.00).

Another interesting thing is that last few weeks, on some days they would ad additional 30 minutes to the 2 hours of WR during European mornings. WR goes from 7 till 09.00 cet and is followed by taped World Sport at 9 (replay of WS edition that aired 3 hours earlier). But this week, so far all days had another 30 minutes of WR at 9. Hopefully this sticks.

CNN U.S related so apologies for that, but they have released photos of the finished New Day set. Looks quite good I think - certainly very different from anything on CNN at the moment, has more of a distinctive identity.

From watching some of the behind the scenes videos, I think I am right in saying that the staircase doesn't actually lead anywhere.

Show launches on Monday at 6am EST.

Maybe in the 60's but times are changing... it reminds me of the CBS 'This Morning' set, both of which I think are very trendsetting.

I don't think this one's trendsetting if it's just imitating the CBS This Morning set (as Jeff Zucker even admitted). One thing that sets CBS' design apart from this one is that the brick in CBS' set is the actual brick.

Very strong coverage on CNN from Turkey tonight. Amanpour was on for the whole 8pm hour and CNN International is now simulcasting Jake Tapper's show on CNN Domestic.

Yes, CNNI at it's best. Hala did first two hours before Amanpour took over. One thing I don't like is domestic taking over now (Jake Tapper) instead of Becky Anderson who was there last week and has more knowledge/insight on the topic.

A few times I tuned into BBC World they kept their regular scheduling.

My thoughts exactly. Particularly if they are fake brick walls - which I very much suspect they are...
