I would imagine David Eades continuing to present the 8am slot in the future, but also filling-in on GMT and Global for the next few months as well.

Could Lucy Hockings return to the 5am slot on a more permanent basis? Or, perhaps, Kasia Madera or Babita Sharma?

The two vacant slots at Impact and Global are now taken by Yalda Hakim and Matthew Amroliwala respectively. And we presume George Alagiah will return to GMT in the near future.

It leaves Lucy, Babita, Kasia or Karin Giannone from the current team as potential TWT permanent anchors.

If they were to think outside the box and try something new-ish, the News and Business combination of Maxine Mawhinney and Declan Curry would be a good European Breakfast line-up in the 5-7am TWT slot.

As a long term (23 years) viewer of BBC World, I would prefer the latter option.

Karin is an excellent presenter and has a clear voice so I would prefer more use of Karin rather than Yalda who in my opinion - which is often proved - is not a good presenter - if she remains should have a course of presenter coaching.
But I imagine she ticks many BBC boxes.

Karin is permanent on the 12:00GMT/13:00BST shift so is unlikely to want to swap to TWT.

Who did the Six?

Sophie Raworth-I wonder if Sophie was going to do the Ten originally but because of the seriousness of the Malaysian Air Crash story, they called Huw in?

Seems likely. Can't remember the last time the Six presenter didn't present the Ten too on a Friday.

Yesterday's Ten was the most watched programme across all channels.

4th July - Sophie presented the six (at 7:10) and Fiona presented the Ten

Nope. It was Clive in Amsterdam, and Reeta in the studio (unfortunately).

I believe he's doing Adnan Nawaz's shift now as he (Adnan) has been covering weekday overnights in place of Mike Embley.

I think Yalda still lacks something. Confidence, personality and authoritativeness in her presentation. Although she makes less misreading blunders now, she doesn't come off as being sharp and quick enough. Often I find it a pain to wait for her to finish her sentences.

The latest we have Nuala McGovern right now on BBCWN.

Look out for a different presenter to present on tonight's Six.

Reeta Chakrabarti was sitting in the Six/Ten presenter seat in the newsroom, at the 3 o'clock TOTH. This could be interesting and see how she does

Reeta Chakrabarti has definitely presented the News at Six before. Also Rajesh Mirchandani presenting Global today as well as the news channel 11:00 to 14:00 shift as Tim Willcox is in Kiev.
