I know people don't like the London Live stools & high table, but at least it makes people sit up properly.

An novel approach from Made in Leeds - having scheduled a 30 minute slot for Life after United, a locally made programme that only lasted around 13 minutes, they proceeded to play out an ad break and then repeat the programme!

With very little fanfare, That's Solent is launching tonight at 8.15. This is what's been going out for the past week. Not really seen much promotion apart from a few tweets from their accounts.

I understand South Today and ITV News Meridian will feature That's Solent on their evening bulletins today.

Very little fanfare seems to be the theme all round. Would be interesting to know the sort of share some of these local channels are getting - I doubt any have crept over 1% and there certainly doesn't seem to be any buzz around them at all.

Some pictures of Made in Leeds's main set (if you can call it that), used for a number of strands (the news is a notable exception, coming from a single camera CSO). This makes London Live's studio look like TC1!

That horrible grey trunking behind the sofas had a piece missing showing the wires it hides on something I saw earlier.

They're currently playing out Baking Mad, an acquired C4 programme in which the narrator's voice is at a much lower level than it should be. I guess they may have been supplied with a tape/file which contains both the complete version with narration and a version without in case a broadcaster wants to reversion it (eg how Discovery UK do their own voiceover on programmes like Mythbusters) and they're playing out both sets of audio at once, so the v/o is low in the mix?

That looks like someone's scruffy living room!

Drab and uninviting but only marginally less of an eyesore to Sheffield's green screen horror. Still poor! Rolling Eyes A swanky looking bar would look much better. (or a TV studio even.....)

That's Solent. They have a weird transition into ad breaks, they don't seem to have any idents etc.

Graphics certainly not the worse we've seen from local TV. Presentation and set though a throw back to a time when TV looked bad.

Well in that case... My mum once served her in Asda back in the 80s when she worked for TVS. Wink
