Sarah Montague is very good. She has the looks - don't get any ideas because I'm more for the Alex Deakin type - and the diction. Ford, Williams and Bruce are also hot talent - but LOOK why do we need all of these when we have one fantastic newsreader here, on this very forum - Nick Dee!!!!!!

Anna Ford has got to be just about the worst newsreader on television. If I turn on the one o'clock on One and it's her, I just watch the headlines and then switch off.
She constantly talks down to the viewer, as if she thinks they're dirt. She's little better with the reporters; if she has a live link to a newish reporter, she has to show her superiority by talking over them, and then asking what appears to be an unplanned question that the reporter hasn't a cat's chance in hell of answering.
If anything doesn't quite go to plan in the bulletin, the anger in her voice clearly comes over to the viewer; and watch out for that glare into camera if someone DARES to speak to her on talkback at an unplanned moment.
She's been at it far too long, I'm afraid; and needs pensioning off. Not female, I know, but bring back Ed Sturton at lunchtimes, PLEASE.

For me it has to be either Jane Hill or ... oh, I've forgotten her name ... AAAGH ... used to be on London Tonight but I think is on some other programme now - really flightly and bubbly ... oh, come on brain... what was she called?!
