On Tuesday evening he announced on YT that he'd got the job, less than three days later he's had 345K views for the video, wont be long till it clocks up 500K.

Today, CBBC celebrates it's 35th anniversary. It seems there will be no programmes about it, unlike the 30th. I presume the announcers will mention it throughout the day, like when it celebrated it's 25th, or a video on the CBBC YouTube channel.

However, Hacker (the channel's current puppet mascot) is appearing on BBC Radio 2 today, with Zoë Ball at around 7:40am this morning.

To be honest I don’t think Blue Peter really needs 4 presenters.

Last week, Adam didn’t really do anything and Mwaksy also didn’t do much either.

This week Mwaksy hasn’t done much at all, only the badge wall.

Well they used to have 4 presenters when they had three episodes a week, with generally only three in the studio, so four when they air once a week is certainly at least one too many. However they also had 4 presenters in periods when one was replacing another back in the 90s, and I think it is strongly suspected this may be the case here.

Next week Mwaksy has her first film in a good few weeks, they’re playing a game or something and doing a world record (hopefully all together), but to be honest if over the next few weeks having four presenters feels surplus to requirements I would honestly consider having one of them hang up their badge.

There's no need for this, really. They do a lot of pre-recording these days so just because Mwaksy wasn't doing much this week doesn't mean she just turned up to sit around, they may well have been recording another episode on the same day (they were in the big studio which presumably they want to make use of).

I think it was the snotty Pass Notes in The Guardian about Adam that mentioned Adam has said he's going to be doing Blue Peter half the week and his vlogging and so on the other half, so clearly Blue Peter isn't a full-time job these days and they're happy to have four presenters if it gives them flexibility. Presumably they're not paid anywhere near as much as they used to so they want other jobs as well.

Is this one of the first times they've actively promoted Newsround with a trail? Can't say I've seen one before.

Scream Street is returning with new episodes from October, a mere 3 years after the last.

Wonder if this was in response to the pandemic, animation can be done from home whereas CBBC’s impressive slate of dramas can’t be filmed remotely.
