ITV Programming Thread

Looking on Digiguide, the ITV episodes are being shown in order, not random.

Looks like Series 5 Episode 21 has been skipped, perhaps it features something not suitable for broadcast.

Series 6 episodes 1 & 2 are tomorrow.

Regarding can't the show something better? The last time they tried live magazine programmes on Saturdays and Sundays, nobody watched any of them, sticking with what's on BBC1.

As well as the usual staples that appear in Ofcom broadcast bulletins, the latest one features a show and channel people have actually heard of.

Namely that apparently very strong language was broadcast on The Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV. A strongly accented Scottish person casually used the strongest word in casual conversation, and nobody noticed.

The very straight laced accounts of what happened always amuse.

Until it was spotted by Tx at STV it seems!

Quite surprised This Morning played their opening titles today, they felt quite jarring after todays events, going from a sombre GMB into a loud and cheery This Morning titles, then back to a sombre introduction.
In the past with big events like this, they have opened the show directly with a studio shot.

No sponsor though. Is that a legal requirement due to it's newsy basis today or was it just to do with taste?

Aah I forgot the sponsor, maybe thats why it felt more jarring, because it went straight from the ident to the titles, which we're not used to. Although the Boots sponsors aren't exactly sombre either so could have been removed due to the news style opening.

Thought they'd have used a short sting instead.

Right call to move to This Morning who offer a different perspective on events, but would be good if ITV News could play out a ticker over programming.

Switching back to normal This Morning features now.

It gets shown often enough on ITV2, and really it's more suitable for that channel than the main ITV channel, so new episodes should air on there, rather than ITV.
