Neighbours

Aplogies if this has already been posted but i watched Neighbours today on BBC1 one and noticed some groovy new titles and theme music!

Are they new or am i just behind the times?

Yup, they are new today as we have now started the 2002 season.

Yep, as expected the new look for Neighbours finally turns up on UK TV. Not bad. I quite liked the old ones but the music is good. The font size on the credits is far to large. Old people been complaining too much or something??

Be nice if the anno at 5.35 could keep stum over the credits - the 1.45 one couldn't

People on Erinsborough.com don't like them though I would come here and see what you all thought.

The closing theme is crap because it is shorten to fall in with BBC guidelines but you can see the full version on Neighbours 2002 website

Todays Episode aired in OZ 21st January we are 19 episodes behind in the UK;)

I like the new Song:)

I didn't see the opening titles as I was out of the room, but I heard the new theme and it's not really to my liking.

I did catch the end credits - seems they've started using the BBC corporate font, but unfortunately the colours they used didn't really work for me (peach with pink shadow?) and actually looked pretty poorly generated as well.

I saw them and thought they were dire! Also, I saw the first name on the closing credits - it said Libby Kennedy. Now as I am not an avid Neighbours fan but do watch it from time to time, can someone clarify to me that she got married. I'm sure she did. If this is correct, why is her name still Libby Kennedy?

You can hardly make out the text as it is nearly the same as the background.

How far are the ozzies behind with our soaps? Bet it's more than 4 weeks! Another thing I find funny is thatt he ozzie (and in fact many other countries) soaps run in seasons with a break in between (even if it is only 8 weeks) while our soaps run all year round!

Gosh, I hate them! I've never really said it about Neighbours titles, but the music is almost weak - you can hardly hear it, and the titles look awful. What on earth are those funny bands at the top? It makes it look like you're watching it in 4:3 letterbox! Go back to the 1992 style if you ask me!
