Back to France with this compilation of M6's news intros, including some lesser-known ones from the channel's early days:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y83VXZiilz0

The beeps you can hear in the "Six Minutes" intros are Morse code for "M6".

Haven't seen the early ones before. Anyway back when I started getting interested with M6 in the late 2000s I found the first M6 logo to be scary.

Because of a a fire in WDR's building in Cologne, this morning's ARD Morgenmagazin was broadcast from the studio of Aktuelle Stunde, WDR's regional newscast:

So you can see CityNews Edmonton is following the scattter-presented format created by CityNews Toronto. Also the lack of music and such. Its certainly not as slick as the Toronto broadcast which is very surprising. The studio segment was kinda a surprise as it wasnt "dressed" in City logos. It will take to time to work out the kinks certianly. But im liking the no BS format in some ways. But Canada is a cold so presenting a good portion from the field must be rough on the reporters in the field.

And this is CityNews Winnipeg:

To those unfamiliar, the studio they broadcast from is in Dusseldorf, approx 40km away.

Thanks for the clarification!

With the German federal election being just around the corner, here's a short compilation of the Chancellor candidate TV debate openers:

Also including Peter Kloeppel, the long time RTL Aktuell anchor.

Here's a short article about the latest TV debate: http://www.newscaststudio.com/2017/09/04/germans-merkel-schulz-meet-das-tv-duell/

Well, I am disappointed by the lack of VR. The titles are still those flat ribbons taking almost half of the screen.

As for the intro, the logo is visually as disappointing as it used to be. I'm sad that they didn't take advantage of the new set to provide something new visually.

At least the music is cool. But as usual with France 2, the job is half-done.

In French-speaking Canada, new intro for Le Téléjournal. Here's a few seconds of the intro of the midday edition. More elements will be published in a few hours (or days) on video sharing websites probably.

The Telejournal logo seems to be a variation of the CBC logo.

An overnight edition of Heute from February 1996 but it's from the greenscreen studio and it takes place a few years after ZDF goes 24 hours:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-SuOM0XOTw

Reminds me of this video of an overnight edition of Heute, with no images (just the newsreader reading from a script) and a very interesting approach to a two-way with a correspondent...

Because of a a fire in WDR's building in Cologne, this morning's ARD Morgenmagazin was broadcast from the studio of Aktuelle Stunde, WDR's regional newscast:

Newsreader doesn't quite get it and greets her colleagues in Cologne...

I'm struggling to find the videos, but the exact opposite happened recently (on 28 July to be exact). A powercut to the Dusseldorf studio of Aktuelle Stunde meant that it could not broadcast, and the later edition of WDR Aktuell moved to the Morgenmagazin studio in Cologne. Lucky that WDR still has the two studio complexes, because it's come in rather handy (I believe the ultimate aim is to consolidate into one).

Today's national portion of 19/20 from France 3, with extensive coverage of the destruction left behind by Hurricane Irma in the French Caribbean (which is as much a part of France as, say, Grenoble):

TV3 Malaysia's news programmes have their openers, lower third graphics and studio background (only for Buletin Utama) refreshed and now broadcast in widescreen (16:9 safe) instead of the perpetual 4:3 since 1 September. However TV3 news has already been produced in HD (downconvert to 4:3 for viewers) since the original studio upgraded to HD in October 2012. Newsgathering cameras are in HD since last March or April. TV3's on-screen graphics have been upgraded to 16:9 safe anamorphic last month.

While the previous (June 2015 to August 2017) was a copy of RTL Nieuws of the Netherlands (criticised for being plagarised and TV3 has taken a deaf ear about it), the new one is an MRT train crossing Kuala Lumpur.

Although an MRT station is located next to Sri Pentas (TV3's studios at Bandar Utama), the station is not mentioned in the station map seen in the opener. (see first link below) The routemap is not the same as the real one. (see second link below)

The opener is at 0:29; preceeded by headlines

Here's the opener from 20 years ago where Sri Pentas is the focus of the opener (actually it's from a report on the opening of Sri Pentas):
