And we've just seen Tyne Tees announcer Bill Steel in the 1997 episode, I wonder how many other ITV announcers appeared? A shame Redvers Kyle never made a cameo Razz

Andrew Brittain played a waiter in one of the earliest 1986 episodes on ITV3...

Would they really have used ‘Granada Colour Production’ front and end caps in 1980?

Yes, they were used until the end of 1985.

Most ITV companies kept their "colour" endcaps well into the 80s. Border and Thames were still using theirs until the introduction of the ITV generic look in 1989.

Most of them stayed until they introduced CG idents, right? Was Tyne Tees, who replaced their ident at the end of the 1979 strike, the first to remove COLOUR from the endcap?

Tyne Tees was still using the COLOUR legend in the 80's. SuperGran, which first aired in 1985, used the end cap, here as seen on the 2013 re-broadcast.

Yorkshire dropped "colour" from their endcap in 1982; Anglia followed suit around 1985.

The three companies that came on air in '82 never used the word in their endcaps.

Due to the 60th no doubt, I would guess they credited everyone who works on the show as the whole sequence was longer than usual, and either used the long omnibus version or faded into the original credits, I’m not sure which.

Scrolling end credits, and was that a slightly different arrangement of the closing theme music?

And . . .

Slightly predictable that another Corrie villain that gradually became more evil ends up dead.

How did badly beaten Alya manage to get through the locked front door and climb out the roof window while the living room/house was on fire??!!
At least they all remembered to nicely socially distance while they were on the roof!!
Distancing was very obvious in that scene and is very noticeable in Corrie generally, compared to Neighbours and Eastenders. They surely could mask it a bit better in dramatic scenes between husbands and wives. They need to ask Neighbours for tips on how to deal with filming during distancing, as they have done so well with it.

Very far fetched episode.

And Sarah just happened to walk into the pub at the exact moment of the Adam reveal Rolling Eyes

Lovely bit of unintentional viral wordplay. I'd shake your hand, but...
