Like that article suggests, After all ITV is a business and losing Piers will mean a substantial loss in revenue and ratings. I’m unsure about that comment about a potential return. Surely it would have to be years down the line to let any dust settle & by that time you’d hope GMB would be in a comfortable position with someone new/a reinvention?

Will it though? As I've said previously, considering the breakfast television model, I am confident his presence doesn't equate to a huge amount of additional revenue and even less profit.

He quit the job, ITV didn't sack him (which they really should have), so it's quite possible that he owes them money.

“Love or loathe, Morgan boosted ratings. It could also be that investors are worried about an investigation over comments made by Morgan on air.”

I wouldn’t worry too much about the share price hours after the incident. That’s very normal, it fluctuates rapidly. The long-term picture is what matters.

This is nonsense from Wilson. The Breakfast audience isn't a massive money spinner and hasn't been since the 90s before the launch of Freeview. Channel 4 running sitcom repeats in the slot for the last decade prove that.
