Yup, you pretty much got it in one
I was just expecting more, Oh well!
CBBC on One/Two seem to get more money for set's, but if XChange are expanding there's I suppose money will have to be saved.
Though whilst going through old tapes I did notice that the new sofa of the new one/two set is just like the one used on that short show 'the morning show' that was on BBC One last year, except it's now red.

Yup, Xchange's new look will be coming your way in less than two weeks now!
Ooh! A new look! And unfortunately it'll be three weeks as I'll be in Newquay!
Is that just a new set?
New titles would be nice.
I was watching old tapes and found the launch prog of XChange when it was basically the breakfast show for 90 minutes and newsround fitted in to it.
It was great like that, as the presenters are there, why not use them?
With the old logo (lovely logo), and nice titles, why they got rid of them so soon I dont know.
But they were going to get rid of that theme tune on the first one asking ppl what sort of theme they wanted, yet the tune has stayed all of this time.

Wrong, I'm afraid.
Apart from the corner with the fan which has been renovated and adapted to TC9's lower ceiling height, the set is all new and designed to follow the style of the original TC2 set. This is now familiar to kids as home of The CBBC Channel so it makes sense to extend that design. Everything else is new.
Additionally, the set has been extended into the lobby area outside TC9's gallery (as it used to be back in the yellow/black days) and this provides lots more shooting options.
An original addition to the main set is a 42" touchscreen plasma which will display bbc.co.uk/cbbc. It allows presenters to navigate by touching the screen rather than using a mouse.
Behind the scenes, TC9 also has a new vision mixer and sound desk.

Yeah i saw them go out the door's today just before UGETME and in to a little Area with a Desk and 2 stools and a TV. Anyway X Change started off as a program for the Summer on CBBC ONE & TWO and the theme tune then was a song that was in the chart, I also liked the old font not to happy with this one.

Oh the days of that. Where did it come from in those days when it was the tiny little pad with the little platform.
I'm not much for the current font, it's trying to be cool with all of the graffiti and everything, which is strange.
One minute you're watching XChange with all grafitti trying to make it look cool, and then you've got Newsround telling children to stop it, no wonder kids are confused!
The original set for the CBBC Channel-ised XChange was nice and colourful without all of the graffiti and 'trendy logo'.
The whole show was different as it had Jez Edwards & Angellica Belle as two main presenters of a 90 minute morning show, meaning that things were adlibbed, often went wrong and they just had fun. They weren't trying to be funny with sketches and jokes, it just was!
And with no Big Breakfast, not even a RI:SE, I'm not one for watching cartoons, so I'd prefer something back like that.
And the set in Studio 9 may be new, but if you're going to have new, then you make it different! What's the point of new, if new's like the old. It's like getting a new TV exactly the same as your old one, but you don't, you upgrade, and change, that's what everyone likes.
And that's why I love September for changes!

What is the song that's used for the theme to x-change anyway? I recognise it from somewhere but can't recall the name!

I see that Xchange is moving to 4.30 next week - I suppose so it's not too close to Blue Peter. B.P. on CBBC Channel is 6.00pm (CBBC One is 5pm) so Monday would appear to be a replay.
FA
Interesting move to 4:30, i thought that the idea of 5:30 was so that when CBBC on BBC One finished, they would try and entice viewers to the Channel through X Change.
I wonder why they're putting out Blue Peter at 6 on the channel, if it;s a repeat, this is wrong, just over half an hour afterwards!
Perhaps on Monday, Wednesday and Friday it will be a Blue Peter extra type programme where by they give an extra recorded piece, an extra performance from a music guest, extra information, and extra make, etc.
I still don't understand what you're trying to imply Aston, and unfortunately I won't get to see it till Monday 13th Sept. What time is the morning X Change going out?
On another CBBC point, now that the channel has moved to Studio 9, One & Two to TC10 and XChange having TC2 for itself, where has Newsround moved to (the updates on the channel btw, rather than the BBC One bulletin)?
I would have thought that a perfect area would have been the reception part of Studio 9. Or they could have built an extension onto the side of it.
It's wierd that when they started the channel was all joined in one location, and now they're spread everywhere!
