Another new ident, not sure about this one, I think it highlights the restrictiveness of the 'stage 5' concept.

They're also becoming ver experimental with the trailer style,

Oh, I really like that new ident. I prefer the idents now that they have them all under one brand' yet still retaining different 'themes'.

Was it just me, or did The Hotel Inspector itself feel remarkably cheaper? Perhaps it was just the hastily added competition which didn't even feature a montage of the prize!

Yes, the music had changed too, sounded similar, but somehow not as good. It may be something to do with Desmonds decision not to pay for music if possible, well I think I read somewhere that that was one way they were trying to save money (I'm wondering if this is what resulted in the change to the wright stuffs musuc too).

I'm glad that they've kept their promotion style despite the new name/brand/owner. They have a certain quirkiness that sets them aside from other channels

5* has a custom promo for Archer with Archer talking down to us

What implication will that have on 5* repeats I wonder? I really hope they too don't get dubbed.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but from a quick scan of the thread it doesn't appear so:

I've noticed in recent months that the sound cuts out for a couple of seconds at the start of the sponsorship stings on 5* during Home and Away and Neighbours when watching on VirginMedia. Is this a general glitch coming from 5* itself, because if so I'm surprised they haven't rectified it, as I can't imagine the sponsors would be happy. You normally miss the first sentence spoken on the H&A sting or the first few bars of the jingle on the Neighbours sting.

No mention of the problem with The Wright Stuff here. Show didn't start till 9.45 due to a bomb alert. There was no live continuity at 9.15, so they used the Milkshake presenter to announce there was a problem, it reminded me of the days of the CBBC broom cupboard into Neighbours. Coincidentally Harold Bishop was on the Wright Stuff as guest.

Interesting use of the milkshake presenter. Did they end milkshake & they then came back, or did they fill with milkshake programmes?

I didn't see what happened, but House Doctor was shown at 9.15am instead.
