the 3D is separate, it's a separate feed just like when Sky do their events. There must be two versions of this 3D feed too, one with the BBC logo on top right one without.

Is anyone watching in 3D?

I'm not watching in 3D but there appears to be different commentary on the 3D coverage.

Presumably so that they can both promote the "3D-ness" and comment on the different picture mix.

If you took the regular HD commentary and the HD director cut to a cutaway of a famous person in the crowd, you'd expect the HD commentators to mention it, but the 3D director (who has a totally different set of cameras in different positions and fewer of them) would be unlikely to have the same cutaway, so the HD commentary would then make no sense to 3D viewers.

The New Sky Sports News studio comes onto air tomorrow, apparently GMSF will have a separate studio from Autumn

The presentation turning into a bit of an amatuer affair with a fairly weak stadium announcer, then poor audio when Sue takes the mic to talk to Nadal.

Looks like the BBC direct feed from the PA is intermittent - so one mic is doing the court loudspeaker PA feed and the other needed for the BBC?

Or maybe there was some rogue temporary RF interference, leading to all radio mic & radio camera facilities failing simultaneously. That sort of thing has happened to me in the past, and there's nothing you can do about it, unless you have cabled standbys...

The Visions/Sony 3D feed was clean, no BBC logos, it went via an Arqiva uplink to cinemas, and the following other broadcasters :-

. ESPN US

· Canal + Sweden

· Sky Deutschland

· Sky Italia

· The Tennis Channel

· Sport 1 Netherlands

Wimbledon finished on BBC TWO 30 mins earlier than billed with full credits.

Someone needs to give the bloke on the left a nudge to check he's still alive.

That's probably the last time the NBC Wimbledon studio will be seen on-air. It appears that they won't be coming back next year, and that ESPN are likely to have the whole tournament rather than sharing it. Truly the end of an era. I think NBC have been involved with the tournament for decades.

(Though that set is truly awful... Looks like a display at a garden centre.)
