I guess, like BBC World News and the BBC News Channel, they need to merge to a single service rather than stay split, so they can concentrate resources on a single stream of decent quality, rather than spreading themselves too thin. And I guess domestic will always win... It's where the big bucks are presumably...

Yes, CNNI at it's best. Hala did first two hours before Amanpour took over. One thing I don't like is domestic taking over now (Jake Tapper) instead of Becky Anderson who was there last week and has more knowledge/insight on the topic.
A few times I tuned into BBC World they kept their regular scheduling.
