The EPG entry on Sky looks a little ridiculous.

Sky SpN HQ HD.

Totally unnecessary change. Graphics looking better though.

I think you'll find it stands for 'Sky Sports Noel's HQ'

A very nice new look from the bits that I've seen. The mixed presentation will break up the programme a little rather than being quite static shots. I've yet to see the sofa area however I've seen no in studio interviews. Have they used the newsroom to walk around or just as a backdrop?

The new around the screen information graphics are less flashy and in your face but seem more professional and tidy.

Engadget has a tour of the studio and some more details on the channel - http://www.engadget.com/2014/08/12/sky-sports-news-hq/

It all looks a lot better - there does seem to be a bit less actual content but that tends to always happen on the first day of a relaunch when they spend so much time showing everything off. That being said it is all flowing quite well. Kirsty Gallagher mentioned on Twitter that herself and Jim White are hosting the new weekday evening coverage (News HQ at 5 and 6).

Still think they should have either called it Sky Sports HQ or not changed the name though - SSNHQ is just pointlessly complicated.

Slightly odd that they haven't updated the website in line with the mobile and tablet apps but maybe it will come in time.

As mentioned there seems to be a new look across Sky Sports with white colour replacing blue in most of the idents.

Edit: One minor point - the screen they are using to highlight content at the social media desk is really too small to display readable text on.

Rather nice new look. Loving mixed case.

I am loving the typographic treatment for the Clock and Date on the top right.

The text on the sidebar is now even harder to read on SD, but I'm sure it looks great in HD.

I am loving the clean white look they are now using across the channels, a nice change from the red and blue from the past few years.

As others have said - mixed case is looking great, it's a shame the BBC dropped it before we even got to see it on domestic BBC News.

The name is stupid and I will guess that sooner or later they'll rename to Sky Sports HQ or just go back to how it was before.

Overall, a solid and consistent refresh which we have come to expect from Sky.

Any chance of someone getting caps of the Sky Sports 5 launch tonight? I wonder if the 'Home of Sports' idents will be used or will they use this as an opportunity to launch new presentation.
