Given the time of year they've launched I think it would have been more appropriate to call it That's Sochristmas rather than That's Solent.

I'm hilarious.

With the way these local channels are going, let's just hope it doesn't end up as That's Insolvent.

I spoke to my friend in Southampton who put on the channel. He's given it the nickname 'That's s***'

I wonder if that ad break transition would fall foul of Ofcom's regulations of clearly separating the adverts from the programme?

I've just tuned into the news and they are using the same transition a lot in the programme between every report in fact, so no clear seperation of the ad breaks.

"This transition is cool! Let's use it everywhere!"

The music show with it's bad CSO backdrop is probably more what viewers will come to expect from this channel.

Couldn't believe it when the girl presenting said "I'll be your hostess for the next hour and a half. " Shocked
It only looks fit to be one of those 40 second ITV2 entertainment update things.

In the South Today package I posted, the American presenter was shown rehearsing for the music show using the main set sitting on one of the chairs. When it made it to air, she used the CSO area to the right of the shot shown of the studio.

Surprised to see Made In Leeds has appeared on my Sky Guide on 117 given I live near York. The postcode mapping for the channel must extend a long way outside Leeds itself.

It's the same as what they've done with London Live, they've mapped it for the whole of the ITV London region which includes parts of the home counties and North Sussex, despite having a smaller editorial area. In your case, it'll be the ITV Yorkshire opt that covers both Leeds and York.

Made in Tyne and Wear should be on 117 as far north as Berwick!
