Business Live - Editorially I felt it was repetitive, the Greek story although important didn't really warrant three mentions in a 24+3(UK) min programme. The domestic three minute slot was well filled though. I wonder also whether a slightly dishevelled Simon Jack was planned. Needs polishing to become ATV.

I saw the first 15 mins of Business Live before I left for work this morning.

I thought the set looked nicely lit, and different enough to the other progammes from Studio C. I liked the titles and the content seemed OK. A good enough focus on both UK and International business stories.

I saw the BBC WN logo box, but assumed it was just the same as we get at 11am on BBC Two. It's not really an issue, I think people are used to it now. They also refer to the bbc.com website, which just redirects to bbc.co.uk for anyone in the UK.

I have a feeling that the internet guys at the BBC will eventually migrate the UK-facing parts to BBC.com. In the early days of BBC.com, we were been redirected to BBC.co.uk. Now it is strictly BBC.com. Come to think of it ITV, Channel 4 and Sky's websites now end in ".com".

I'm now wondering why do they use the balcony much less often for weather compared to when NC first moved to NBH.

They still use the balcony for weather most times as far as I can see. I noticed right through the day today they used it for majority of forecasts.

Did anyone notice the not quite airbrushed BBC Business Live titles at the beginning? they've made a few changes to Outside Source as well, the wipe is different, they've replaced the BBC World News logo with the BBC News box and the end titles are now much simplified without all the copyright info.

Great additions I think although on the news channel I wouldnt bother adding the bbc news box when coming back from breaks on OS (which is isnt on the News Channel), also some uncharacteristic issues which hasnt happened in the three months BBC Business Live has been on air on BBC World News, maybe they were a bit nervous.

The swapping of the BBC World News box with the BBC News box is down to some clever system that the BBC uses, isn't it? I'm fairly sure it allows the World News box to appear on BBC WN whilst we have the BBC News box on the NC. I may be confused but I believe the same system allowed the NC to display the 2008-2013 BBC News graphics whilst BBC World News used the current graphics when the WN overnight simulcasts starting coming from NBH whilst Domestic news still came from TVC?

A report on the NC finished a tad early which just left about a 5 second still of the beginning of the sting waiting for World to opt back following the break. Some NC viewers must wonder what is going on at these points.

Also I don't like the way the ticker has to be off screen just to show the BBC box, but again I understand its to make it look neat without the graphics clashing.

I quite like the 'coming up' piece after the 9:45 sting where Ros goes through what is coming up on WNA on World and also what is coming up for UK viewers on News at Ten.

Few weeks ago Newsday jumped into some BBC commercial thing on the NC when they were showing the front pages. There is always some slight delay that I would expect most UK viewers would not even think too much about on a good day.

The only other thing was the use of the tablet to show off some other articles, complete with each site's own banner adverts. Thought that would be a bit of a no-no for us in the UK?

From what I've read I don't think it matters as long as there getting paid for it. I mean is it really any different than seeing sponsorships on the jersey of a footballer or in stadium advertising? Likewise when they do the newspaper review they don't block out the front page advertisements.

They do with the digital front pages when they appear on-screen.

The issue is advertising appearing on BBC content.

I haven't seen the images blacked out during your 5AM time simulcast of World News. Unless for some reason there are two different graphics.

First real test for the slimmed down News Channel this morning with the Kennedy death. Handled during Business Live using the World ad-break. Seems that Derbyshire (Gosling) will be slanted towards the story as well.

That was 45 mins of VD just on the breaking news. So far as I could tell that provided a service on par with what the news channel would have provided anyway
