With Sian Williams moving to 5 News in the new year it may tie into a relaunch of the news branding to tie into relaunched channel branding.

They've rebranded the news just before overhauling the channel identity, and just altered the titles. This was when they went from five to FIVE.
There were some logos on the set that had to be replaced as well.

I didn't realise Kirsty stayed with them during the first few years of the Sky News era. Wasn't there someone between her and Natalie Kaplisnky though - indeed didn't Julie Etchingham host for a while?

Julie Etchingham was never on Five news as far as I know. Maybe you're thinking of Kate Gerbeau (née Sanderson)? Andrea Cathereood was the replacement for Kirsty Young when she left the first time.

John Suchet was there until the relaunch was he not? Matt also joined prior to the new look.

Kate Gerbeau presented Lunch. Kirsty in her second stint transferred from ITN to Sky and was replaced by either Suchet or Helen Fospero.

Julie had a short stint under Sky News 2005, this being before the SkyNews revamp of 2005???
Edit: I think Helen Fospero joined later at some point - possibly being the replacement for Julie - but I am not sure.
