Studio D is still being used as a workshop and storage area by one of the SIs, we are talking several months work to bring it into service.

In other words the people that the BBC project management team in turn outsource detailed design and construction of technical facilities like galleries, edit suites etc. to.

Anyone noticed that the Newsday graphics fails to switch to the generic red for the next TOTH after it is over?

Forgive my ignorance, but is that also the studio that the BBC News Channel uses at the UK 5pm Newshour? Hence, World News decamps to the three screens venue?

It is. Although to be totally accurate it isn't the BBC News Channel moving which forces World into Studio B (the three screen studio). World is there from 12-6 since that's when many of the branded shows are. The News Channel goes to Studio A (the virtual one) at 9pm since BBC World are back in C by then.

I have a low memory recalling the exact schedules on BBCWN, but here's what I think, somewhere after Impact and Global with Jon Sopel / World Have Your Say with Ros Atkins, the BBCWN TOTH bulletin following it has an hour or 2 that uses the 3-screen B studio, usually I see Yalda Hakim on those slots. Probably this is the time BBCNews uses the C as mentioned above, Newshour. And somewhere after that on BBCWN, World News Today with Zeinab Badawi comes on and Zeinab's doing it back in Studio C, so I guess that's the switch-back point to C for BBCWN right?

I now recall what's Studio A, is the virtual reality green room used for Hardtalk, I finally found the pictures somewhere.. yeah! I think Mishal Husain did a promo in it showing her in some weird place with things crumbling down like in a movie.. And someone mentioned D is not really ready and is used for storage or something if I didn't remembered wrong.

Talking about which Studios are used - Does anyone agree it would be better if NC used Studio C during the 9PM Hour and Business Edition used Studio A. I was thinking that they could do some kind of more 'Business' Style Set.

I agree. Would look much better on both accounts.

Think I read that WN moves back to C at 6.30pm UK for World Business Report

Using C for the NC at 9pm would mean a very quick changeover needed to WN at 10pm, who need to use the gallery I think for World News America. No idea what it is involved in switching from one channel to another, but maybe it's best not to have to do it very quickly?

Correct, for the Winter Schedule.

But in BST, Focus on Africa airs at 18:30 UK Time, and last i saw it was still using Studio B, so World are currently in B until 7pm then switch to C for World News Today.

Domestic cannot use Studio C during the 9pm hour as World News air Business Edition with Tanya Beckett from 9-9:30 UK Time.

Likely the current setup causes the least complications.
