I don't have britbox though, don't even have a way to stream it through my TV as it isn't on Virgin or Roku, and I'm not watching things through a computer or phone screen.

Unlucky, I have a Roku stick for my second TV and I was a bit gutted that BritBox wasn’t on there. But regardless of that I’ve been pleased to see some different older episodes on ITV3 this week.
Just watching the 1980 episodes, looks like the first episode was the original, but the second was a Granada Plus edit. These G+ edits are going to keep cropping up, aren't they?
Funnily enough we've never had any G+ edits of Emmerdale on ITV3...

Should we set up a Yuletide fundraiser for a long HDMI cable?
What looks like a VidFired Episode 1 of Corrie has appeared on Youtube.
That has been done exceptionally well! You could almost believe someone had discovered a videotape of the first episode.
Who’s to say I didn’t? Seriously, thanks though. I’d have liked to have put the original Granada captions back on and cut some dodgy mixes, but it was done quickly and couldn’t edit 50fps in iMovie.

What did you use for the framerate conversion? It's very good.
Can you not Chromecast or ScreenShare the BritBox app to the Roku or Virgin set top box?
1. How can I Chromecast to something which isn't a Chromecast?
2. I've tried screensharing content to Roku before, from the laptop it's horribly jerky with dropouts (so the laptop clearly isn't up to it), and I can't get it to work from my desktop at all, even after re-installing everything from scratch, so presumably it doesn't support it.
Coronation Street today announce that Argos is to become their brand new headline sponsor, only the fourth in the show’s illustrious 60 year history.
With the world’s longest running continuing drama currently celebrating its 60th anniversary on TV screens, Argos will begin its long term on and off air partnership at the beginning of 2021.

Off topic - Used a suite called Film9, a frontend for multiple Avisynth filters to stabilise the film, remove film noise, dirt and scratches, adjust colour, and interpolate the frames.
