Thanks for that link, Rob. I see they also have a "Heather the Weather" too!!

What's the purpose - do we think - of that big circular structure with two laptop stations in between it? Are those hot desks for field based staff, or for guests waiting to go on set, or what?

More great photos! Those titles look excellent. So much better than the standard BBC regions! Can't believe they've made all this effort.

Could anyone put some videos up? It's all well and good looking at photos, but I'd love video. Can't wait for NWT to appear on iPlayer tonight!

Great start so far!!

They are apparently for one to one meetings for staff (can't remember the official term they're using). They're several of them around the atrium of the new building.

And thanks for the captures so far from everyone, I too am out of the region and unable to see the changes without these.

I just used them for lunch whilst I was there! Laughing

Just watched the NW Today bulletin on my TiVo, the titles are almost like BBC Arabic, with zoomed in globe.

The pods are called "ThoughtWheels" IIRC from the report, but apparently the staff are calling them hamster wheels.

Not of the lunchtime bulletin I'm afraid, but Tom (Dragon Archive) has said to me that the evening bulletin titles will go up on TV Live's YouTube page tonight.

A better view of the new set, it looks quite nice when properly lit. . .

. . . and the titles/credits from lunchtime. I hope all the other regions get a similar makeover for the titles. Laughing

Is that it, or is their another part with just a desk? It's going to be weird having the news presented from a sofa after so many years of desk if that is the case.

Very nicely lit - I can see Breakfast in there already!
